For months now, players have eagerly awaited the arrival of the first expansion to The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. On March 14th, Codemasters and Turbine announced (tweakers.net announcement) the release of The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria.

With Moria, several new features will make their way into our beloved game. Among the many things, we will see a level cap raise from 50 to 60. Over 7 million square meters of explorable areas will be opened. We will finally be able to explore the areas of Eregion, where the Rings of Power were forged. And of course, Khazad-Dum awaits.

With the downfall of Durin's Bane, a large void of power is waiting to be filled. While the Dwarves try to reclaim their ancient city of Dwarrendelf, Sauron's forces will try to claim it's ancient halls, hoping to claim it's hidden treasures. With all this wonderful new content, one would almost forget the two new classes that have found their way into the game. Or the Legendary Items. But more of that later.
